To check a 3 amp fuse with a multimeter, set the multimeter to the continuity or resistance (ohms) mode, and touch the probes to each end of the fuse. If the fuse is good, you’ll hear a beep (continuity) or see a low resistance reading (close to 0 ohms); if it’s blown, there will be no beep or the reading will show infinite resistance.
