You can tell a fast blow fuse from a slow blow fuse by checking for markings: slow blow fuses are often labeled with a "T" (for time-delay) or "S", while fast blow fuses may have an "F" marking. Additionally, slow blow fuses often have a visible spring or coiled wire inside, while fast blow fuses have a straight thin wire.
